A Bit About Me
Tracy Lee is a Manhattan-based passionate creative. Originally studying classical opera, she is a finely trained soprano. She most recently graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York with a focus in musical theatre. With a love for playwriting, production, and all things theatrical Tracy made the decision to study musical theatre in pursuit of conquering her performance anxiety.
Since graduating, she has originated a new role in Joshua Bowen's workshop of Tree Haus, debuted Off-Broadway in the ensemble of Royal Oak, was featured in the 2025 Academy Award for Best Picture (Anora), and has most recently wrapped on her first independent pilot series as head writer (We All Die At The End of This). By starting her arts career training professional opera, she is specifically passionate about avant-garde revivals of golden-age musicals (a la Daniel Fish's 2017 revival of Oklahoma!). She has immense love for dancing contemporary improvisation, dabbles in stand up comedy (but in a cool way) and excels in being a professionally bold goof.
Apart from theatre, Tracy is also incredibly passionate about mental health awareness and suicide prevention. She has worked incredibly close with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on breaking down the stigma that revolves around mental illness. Including performing many public presentations on her own mental health journey, and collaborating on a "safe toolbox" therapy-based App.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Tracy has a special place in her heart for the great outdoors. She has also previously trained at Pacific Northwest Ballet, studied with professionals from Seattle Opera, and choreographed Village Theatre's post-covid comeback Summer Independent Production of The Spitfire Grill. When not on stage, Tracy spends her days as Montessori Preschool Teacher. Her evenings typically consist of playing chess, rewatching Westworld, and cuddling/taming her small (but ferocious) Chihuahua named Bruiser (because, duh.)
